Flora VSR-98 Trousers

The Flora VSR-98 uniform is a post Soviet Russian camouflage system introduced in the late 1990s and widely issued to the Russian Armed Forces. Developed as a replacement for older Soviet era patterns, it became the standard field uniform during a period of transition in Russian military equipment.

The Flora pattern is characterized by its horizontal, wave like bands of green and brown on a lighter background, designed to blend effectively in woodland and temperate environments. This distinctive layout helps break up the wearer’s outline, making it suitable for a variety of terrain.

Uniforms in the VSR-98 system were built with practicality in mind, using durable materials suited for regular field use. The design emphasizes functionality, offering a straightforward layout that allows for comfort, mobility, and compatibility with standard equipment.

The Flora uniform saw widespread use throughout the late 1990s and 2000s, becoming closely associated with Russian forces during conflicts such as the Second Chechen War. It remained in service until gradually replaced by more modern digital patterns in the following years.
