OG107 Trousers
The OG107 utility pants are a staple of mid 20th century U.S. military clothing, designed as part of the standard fatigue uniform for everyday use. Like the matching shirt, the name comes from the Olive Green 107 shade, a practical color chosen for durability and ease of upkeep rather than concealment in combat.
Built for function, the pants feature a straightforward, no nonsense design with a button fly, durable cotton construction, and a comfortable fit suited for long hours of work and field activity. Early versions were made from cotton sateen, giving them a smooth yet tough feel, while later variants introduced poly cotton blends for improved wear and faster drying. Subtle changes in pocket shapes, stitching, and labeling mark different production periods.
These pants were widely worn by U.S. forces throughout the Vietnam War, often seen in both field environments and on base. Their simplicity made them reliable in a wide range of conditions, and over time they would fade and soften, developing a worn in look that reflected regular use.
